The Start of this Journey

Matching with Jamie

After my Surro Twins were born I knew I wanted to pump. Mostly for my benefit. I offered the BM to anyone who wanted it. I couldnt see dumping it, not when a baby could use it. Little did I know that Jamie also worked with/for a agency.

I filled out the application:

In April I felt ready to begin looking for a new set of IP's. We all knew that I wasnt able to do a transfer before Sept. I also wanted to get to know my IP's this time. I did want to rush anything. I knew what kind of contact I wanted and knew that the right couple was out there. I could wait, I had not timeframe in mind.

April 22nd:

The agency sent me a email about a International Couple(F & H). I on the other hand have never even given it a though. I had requested a local of semi local couple, as I am not to fond of flying. I looked it over. The IM wanted a strong friendship relationship. They were also not in a rush. They wanted the time there to get to know their GS. Well to me that was everything. It didnt matter that they couldnt go to all the appt.. The most important things was knowing that the ending would not end the same as the first.

May 1st & 2nd - IM MATCHED!!!!

We had arranged a conf call with IM(F) and the agency. I was nervous, as was F. Though it went great. It was odd, but relaxing. She sounded so happy. After the call Con and I talked things over. He tends to keep me from getting over excited about most things. Yet I was thrilled. The next day I had contacted the agency and told them the good news. As did F, she was intereested in matching to. The agency then gave us each others info and we started talking.

Moving Forward

F and I have send emails everyday. We have had several phone conversations. The agency is contacting the clinic to see what to do next. After a few bumps in getting my med. records we have them. Then sent them off to the clinic.

Bad News

The clinic F & H are using decided that due to minor PPD that I am not someone they would work with. It came at the worst time, July 3rd, the holiday weekend. The clinic had taken mostly a month to decided that. My IP's though decided to move to a new clinic. I left for vacation on the 5th of July and the agency and myself had left IM with a few clinic to look in to.

Looking

We have focused on 3 clinics. All of which are rather close to me. One in MD, one in NJ, one in DE. Kinda covered all the states near me. While I was on vacation I was suprized that I had internet(last year we didnt), it was however the slowest connection ever.

So here we are now in July

Still looking over clinics and hoping to get a appt soon at one of them. F & H would like to come visit and meet in Aug. so time is running out. I have offered the extra room for them to stay in. I almost have it finished. Everytime I clean though I manage to put things in there to "do later". Its all in boxes though.
